This photograph offers a rare perspective: shot from the west side of the formation, beyond the spine, and composed vertically rather than the more typical horizontal view. Brothers emphasizes the drama of the sky, letting the clouds dominate the frame while the monolith anchors the horizon. Of the image he observed,
“Ever since I was a kid, what struck me wasn’t just the rock—it was the clouds, the horizon, the sheer scale of the land. That’s what I wanted to capture.”
